Finalmente, estoy aquí.

Apparently my body does not want to adjust to Barcelona time. Despite the fact that I have been here five days, I continue to wake up regularly from 2-6 am. Great.

Other than the unfortunate sleep schedule, it is amazing to be in Spain. Today when I was walking by myself home from class, it actually felt like I live here. That I am not just another tourist. And that is exciting because when I decided I wanted to study abroad that was one of my main goals: I wanted to immerse myself in the culture, to live like the locals do, and to actually feel like I could call Barcelona home.

It is kind of terrifying being in a city of almost 2 million and knowing practically no one. But that is also what makes it so thrilling.
